Due to the fact that we now have four boys, not three, I decided to change my blog site to be fair to all four boys. :)

It isn't very fancy, I've got a lot of work to do on it. It will take me awhile I'm sure with four boys in the house. :) But, that is where I'll be "blogging" from now on. Thank you!

Eli Calvin Thomas

HI! I am please to announce that our fourth son Eli Calvin Thomas was born Wednesday, February 27th at 10:42 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs 6 z and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is beautiful and so sweet! We are very blessed! The first three pictures were so graciously taken by our good friend Shelly while we were still in the hospital. Thank you Shelly!

On another note: Brent has been very sick with the flu since the day we got home from the hospital and has not had a chance to hold or enjoy his new son in a week! Please pray for him to regain his strength and to feel better very soon! Thank you. :)

Well, yesterday was the big day! Brent went from mountain man, to handsome man! I think he looks SOO nice! I'm really proud of him too because he's been eating a lot healthier and exercising almost daily. :) What a guy!

Carson's 2nd Birthday!!!!

We celebrated Carson's 2nd birthday today at lunch time since we have to be at church tonight by 6:00. He had his favorite lunch (speghetti with corn and bananas), then a cake followed by presents. He's down for his nap now in his new Cars sleeping bag having good dreams of a great birthday!

Hi! It's been SO long since I've posted a blog entry, I'm not even sure I know how anymore.... I thought I'd give those of you who don't know me a quick update. I'm going to soon have to find a new blog title because we're expecting our fourth boy this March. We are very blessed and are praying for a healthy baby. Maybe ThomasQuartet or something. :)

I've been homeschooling our oldest son in the first grade since mid July since I'll be busy in March. It is going very well and we really enjoy our time together (although it's not always easy, this year is going much better than last year did).

I've been on my friend Katie's blog every day this past week and have so enjoyed going to the blogs of those of you who have commented on hers (you inspired me to get back to my blog a little bit). Please continue to be in prayer for my friend during this difficult time.

My husband is the pastor of our church, so that makes me a PW and our kids PK's. We love it here and love the church and the people so much. We are blessed to be here.

Now, I think that is the most I've EVER written, so I'll stop there.

Well after almost a month of thinking my cat had abandoned her kittens I am pleased to announce that I found them tonight!!! She had carefully chosen a spot to have them and was taking care of them in the neighbor's shed. I must appologize to her, I was almost sure they were all gonners. There are four of them and they are SOOOO cute! We moved them into our garage, so we'll see if she continues to care for them after the move. I really shouldn't doubt her anymore, she's a GREAT mommy! I'm a little sad for my husband though because he's not a "cat person" and I'm leaving for four nights this Sunday..... He'll have to babysit them. :) (I'll post better pictures of them as soon as I get batteries for my camera, I took that one with my phone).

Kittens

My cat had her kittens today and I can't find them. Frankly, I feel that she isn't being a very responsible mom because she's been wanting to hang out with me all day. She needs to go back to her kittens. It's very stormy and rainy today. Is this normal? Does anyone know anything about kittens? Why isn't she staying with them? She's not hungry, she just wants to "hang out." She's mostly an outside cat, but comes in sometimes. I really wish I could find them. I tried to follow her, but she won't go anywhere.

"F" is for Frog

A few days ago we went hunting for tadpoles because Miles is working on the letter "F" for frog in school. All we were able to catch were about 6 baby fish, which we thought were tadpoles, but weren't. Oh well, we'll try again in a few weeks. We had fun. I must admit, I had a lot more fun that I thought I would and I discovered my competitive nature. It really came out that morning. I totally got into it.

We woke up to snow on the ground! It was a lot of fun! The boys had a great time playing outside in it! That is......... until Brent left for work and flipped the car completely over! It ended up on the drivers side, he had to crawl out the passengers side! Thanks be to God that he is alright! I'm so grateful!!! It was definitely an eventful day!

Rocky Mountain Renewal

This past week my family and I had a chance to go to Rocky Mountain Renewal in Creede, Colorado. We had a great time of just being together. There was no TV, no internet access and no cel phone service up there. We are home now and I believe we are refreshed and ready to continue in what God has for us, although we are going to be leaving again for Phoenix for Thanksgiving. That's another long car ride. Good times, good times. :)

SOOO Much Has Happened!

Hello!!!
Well, in the past few weeks a lot has happened! My husband and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary on August 2nd. The next week he flew to Louisville for about 12 hours to do something he's always wanted to do. The boys and I spent the night in Dallas at one of my old college roomates house and her kids. We just got back from a GREAT vacation in Colorado at Beaver Creek. My oldest son turned 5 last Monday, my middle son turned 3 the Monday before that and my youngest son turned 7 months old today! Whew! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks! Oh, Owen started his first day of preschool yesterday!

Brother's Day

Recently in our family we have instituted "brother's day" (since we have enough of them!). It will be the 3rd Monday of July. This year the boys got to choose what the "funnest" thing in the world would be to do. Not to our surprise we ended up at Chuck E. Cheeses last Monday! It was fun. We look forward to many years of "brother's day" with the boys. :)

Caffeine

I met with some other moms at the park this morning. My friend Shelley and I were the first ones there. We started talking about our lives, daily activities, etc. Shelley is a mother of 4 (her youngest being 3 weeks younger than my youngest). We came to the conclusion that we rely on caffeine to make it through our days. She even joked that she sometimes gives some to her kids, which creates chaos in her house, which helps her to rely on God more. Of course she was half joking when she was telling me this, but in a way it's true. If we somehow (although I don't know how) to keep our houses perfectly clean, keep our kids totally in line, then we may start to think we can do it on our own, when it is only through God that keeps us going. He reminds us in the midst of our chaos that we need Him so much!

The last time I wrote about "needing to make my blog more interesting" was approximately 17 days ago!!! I may not be so good at this blog thing!!!
So, at the risk of boring you totally just to make a blog entry, I'll end here. I'll be thinking of something that I feel comfortable sharing on the internet for the whole world to read in the next few days (as if the whole world WOULD read my blog), but there is just something about being "out there" and exposed to the world that I'm a little leary about. Does anyone have any thoughts on that? I'd love to hear them. Thank you!

Need To Make Things More Interesting!!!

I've recently gotten sucked into reading other people's blogs. In doing so I've noticed that my blog is REALLY boring and a bit shallow! As I read the blogs of the other women, I realize that I really need to spice mine up a bit. I have 3 young boys (4 years, 2 years and 5 months). Sometimes I feel like my brain has been sucked out of my head and I don't see how some of you can possibly write such intelligent things, but I commend you! I'm going to try to work my brain muscles! All of that said, this is my first blog entry in efforts to make it more interesting!

Hopefully I'll have time to write another entry soon. At the moment, I've got 2 boys ready for a bath and one in his crib crying! Gotta go!

Last week I was able to meet some of my Louisville friends at a park!!! It was SOO good to see all of them, and to see how their kids had grown in the last year. I was also able to take one of my Texas friends and her daughter with me. That was nice to have "both worlds" together.
